Break Through Classes
Breakthrough Parenting classes take place onsite at Paving The Way Foundation. This ten week course is a comprehensive, skill-building program designed to teach advanced parenting techniques. Each class is two hours long and includes one hour of group sharing and one hour of parent training. Each participant receives a completion letter after he or she has attended ten classes and has successfully completed their course workbook.
Re-Entry Program
Paving The Way Foundation works hand in hand with clients being released from jail or those who walk-in from our community.
Certified Trainings
Our goal is to give our clients the life skills and job preparation necessary to maintain the highest quality of living. Paving The Way has partnered with International Brotherhood of Teamsters to offer the community free and low cost certified training. We offer the following training every month.
Helping Hand Closet
In August 2019, Paving the Way Foundation opened its Helping Hand Closet. The closet is chock-full with men and women’s semi-casual clothing. The purpose behind the closet is to help adults dress for success when going to job interviews. Clothing is available to anyone in need, whether homeless or not, low income or someone re-entering the workforce after incarceration. Debbie Gundersen, who runs the closet, goes to yard sales on Saturdays to find items for the closet. She searches for nice quality, gently used items that will help the applicant feel confident during the interview process. Debbie says, “seeing people succeed and get back into the workforce is my favorite part of running the closet.” The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9-1pm, and located at 44818 Fern Ave. Suite 105, Lancaster, CA. It is a walk-in service, and no appointment is necessary.
Solar Training
Solar training can be incredibly beneficial for individuals who are interested in pursuing employment in the solar field. As the world continues to move towards renewable energy, the demand for skilled solar professionals is on the rise. With solar training, individuals can gain the knowledge and skills necessary to design, install, and maintain solar systems.
Union opportunities In Industrial and commercial painting include many crafts such as: Aircraft Painting, Glazing & Glasswork, Sign & Display, Floor covering Installation & Drywall Finishing.
Learn the proper way of handling food in the industry. Sign up for a class that will help you prepare for the test in a hands-on classroom setting.
